Appearing at MWC Shanghai, AR Glasses XREAL Redefining the End to End Space Computing Domain
2024-06-28
Yesterday, the GSMA MWC Shanghai World Mobile Communications Conference (referred to as "MWC Shanghai") opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center and the Kerry Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. This conference brings together industry leaders from China, Germany, India, Israel, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries to showcase the latest breakthroughs in the field of mobile connectivity. Exhibitors include industry leaders such as Amazon Cloud Technology, AMD, Patti Telecom, Lenovo, Singapore Telecom, Spark Telecommunications, Xiaomi, XReal, and more. AR glasses brand XREAL's new space computing product XREAL Beam Pro made its debut at the conference, bringing visitors an immersive new experience of a versatile space computing terminal. After the launch of the Beam Pro, it was the first offline experience, ushering in the era of consumer grade AR ecological transition. XREAL Beam Pro is an AR spatial computing terminal officially launched by XREAL at the new product launch event at the end of May, similar to Phone. As a pioneering AR product in the spatial computing era, it takes the AR experience to a new height from three dimensions: spatial imaging, spatial entertainment, and spatial computing. To some extent, Beam Pro is a spatial computing complex that combines mobile application ecology, unlimited entertainment streaming in the living room, and spatial imaging. It is not only the "phone" that drives mobile applications on AR glasses, but also a living room entertainment streaming device, as well as a spatial image acquisition and shooting device. Through its modular design, the XREAL Beam Pro has found the optimal balance between all-weather wearing and immersive experience for XR devices - portable, plug and play, and compatibility with the mobile Android ecosystem, providing top-notch spatial experience in the AR glasses category. After the launch of XREAL Beam Pro, industry reviews believe that it has stronger portability compared to Vision Pro and is superior to Ray Ban Meta in terms of immersive experience. This is a unique interpretation of XREAL's "present of spatial computing". The four experience areas bring immersive visual enjoyment, and the collaboration with BMW Group has enabled AR to "move with the car" at the event site. XReal has set up four experience areas: flash, AR+game console, spatial video, and 6DOF+car. Users and visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in BMW cars, experience the visual enjoyment brought by XReal AR eyeglasses Air 2 Pro+Beam Pro, and also experience the XReal Air 2 Ultra first. This is the latest member of XReal's XReal Air 2 series AR glasses launched globally on the eve of CES this year, with dual 3D environmental sensors supporting 6DoF, which has not yet been sold in China. The innovative exploration of future travel by XReal and BMW Group is refreshing. With the introduction and continuous promotion of BMW Asia Pacific Technology Center, BMW has joined hands with XReal to showcase various possibilities of integrating AR experience into driving scenarios, following CES. When the driver wears XREAL Air 2 Pro glasses, AR navigation route guidance, danger warnings, entertainment applications, and charging station information can be displayed on the screen. At the same time, the XREAL Air 2 Pro is also the world's first mass-produced AR glasses with electrochromic technology. It can adjust the light changes of the glasses in three levels, making it suitable for all weather conditions, whether indoors or outdoors. The head of BMW Group stated, "Through our collaboration with XReal, we have made substantial progress in introducing AR into the BMW driving experience. We are honored to collaborate with XReal, which not only puts us at the forefront of technological innovation, but also prepares us well to provide customers with an amazing in car AR experience. Without the need for AR equipment, on-site visitors who experience the large screen display effect of AR glasses at the cinema level can experience space shooting firsthand. Beam Pro has a unique 50mm large spacing that mimics the human eye, dual main cameras with nanosecond synchronous framing, paired with XReal Air 2 Pro glasses, which can achieve instant viewing and shooting with just one click." Produce 3D blockbusters that are as realistic as you can see, providing cinema level 3D viewing enjoyment for on-site participants. Currently, market space is an important factor for investors to choose the AR track. Analogous to the development path and landing speed of smartphones and other smart terminal devices, AR glasses have achieved remarkable results in the initial stage, with an overall upward trend in growth rate. The latest quarterly tracking report on the AR/VR head display market released by IDC shows that in the first quarter of 2024, China shipped 8000 AR head displays, a year-on-year increase of 119.2%; ER (Extended Reality Expansion Reality, currently dominated by split type glasses) shipped 44000 units, a year-on-year increase of 136.2%. In the AR+ER classification of the first quarter of 2024, XREAL consistently maintained the top position in the industry, with a market share of 51.7%. In the ER category of the first quarter, the XREAL market share reached a higher 58%. (Lai Xin She)
