On June 26th, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management once again allocated 496 million yuan of central natural disaster relief funds to support 9 provinces (regions) including Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Guangdong, and Guangxi in flood and geological disaster relief work, with a focus on emergency rescue and disaster relief for the affected population. They also supported emergency response such as search and rescue, relocation and resettlement of disaster victims, hazard elimination, secondary disaster hazard investigation and emergency rectification, and restoration of damaged residential buildings. The Ministry of Finance requires relevant provincial (district) finance departments to quickly allocate funds to disaster areas, timely understand and grasp the emergency rescue fund arrangements and funding needs of disaster areas, take measures to fully guarantee, and effectively strengthen fund supervision to fully leverage the benefits of funds.
