2024-06-26

At the National Science and Technology Conference, National Science and Technology Awards Conference, and Academicians' Conference held from June 24th to 25th, the Fuxing high-speed train project won the Special Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, setting an international benchmark for high-speed rail technology. Liu Zhenfang, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of China Railway Group, delivered a speech at the conference on behalf of the award-winning units of the Fuxing high-speed train project. Ye Yangsheng, Chief Engineer of China Railway Group, as the representative of the project completion person, received an audience and recognition from party and state leaders. In December 2013, the development project of China's standard high-speed trains was launched; In June 2015, two Chinese standard high-speed trains were successfully taken offline; On July 15, 2016, two Chinese standard multiple units completed the world's first speed of 420 kilometers per hour rendezvous on the Zhengzhou Xuzhou high-speed railway; On June 25, 2017, the Chinese standard high-speed train was officially named the Fuxing Express. On June 26, two Fuxing Express high-speed trains departed from Beijing South Station and Shanghai Hongqiao Station in both directions. On September 21, the Fuxing Express high-speed train was put into operation on the Beijing Shanghai high-speed railway at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The Fuxing high-speed train has overcome a series of world challenges in terms of operational resistance, energy consumption, noise, and smoothness, and has overcome major technologies in traction, braking, network, vibration and noise reduction, cluster operation and maintenance. The key core technologies are independently controllable, achieving safe and efficient operation. High speed rail technology has set an international benchmark. Through the development of the Fuxing high-speed train, China has established a complete technical standard system for high-speed trains, created an independent and controllable industrial chain supply chain composed of thousands of enterprises, cultivated and formed a high-end equipment industry chain in the field of rail transit, and made important contributions to enhancing the advantages of China's equipment manufacturing industry and achieving modernization of the industrial chain. Since the successful development and operation of the Fuxing high-speed train, China Railway Group has continued to promote the development of a series of Fuxing high-speed trains, forming a series of products that cover different speed levels of 350 kilometers per hour and 250 kilometers per hour, including 8 cars, 16 cars, 17 cars, and different configurations such as standard, high-altitude, and intelligent. These products are suitable for wide area operation and meet the needs of passengers for better travel. As of the end of 2023, the Fuxing high-speed train has been put into use with a total of 1194 standard sets, transporting 2.2 billion passengers, and operating safely for a total of 2.34 billion kilometers, covering 30 provinces, regions, cities, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The Fuxing Mercedes Benz runs on the vast land of the motherland. Based on the Fuxing technology platform, the developed Ya'an Wanzhou high-speed train will be put into use in Indonesia's Ya'an Wanzhou high-speed train in October 2023, and the Hungarian Cypriot high-speed train will debut in Serbia in June 2024, providing China's plan, Chinese technology, and Chinese wisdom for the world's railway development, and playing a positive role in achieving high-level opening up and promoting the high-quality development of the "the Belt and Road". The Fuxing high-speed train is a significant breakthrough and landmark achievement in China's high-speed railway technology innovation, and an important milestone in the modernization process of China's railways.
