From the perspective of the handling of cases by the procuratorial organs, the overall number of drug-related crimes has shown a downward trend in recent years, and the country's drug control work has achieved significant results. The procuratorial organs in various regions have strengthened their legal supervision over drug-related crime cases. From January 2023 to May 2024, procuratorial organs across the country intervened in more than 4900 major drug-related crime cases in advance; Supervised and filed over 2800 cases with over 3000 individuals; Correcting over 1700 missed arrests and prosecuting over 1300 individuals after correction; Correcting more than 1400 cases of omitted crimes in transfer and prosecution, and correcting more than 3100 cases of omitted accomplices. In addition, some illegal elements currently use new drugs such as cannabis essence drugs as substitutes for traditional drugs for trafficking, especially cannabis essence drugs presented in different forms, which are highly misleading and seriously harm the physical and mental health of young people. The procuratorial organs are cracking down severely on crimes such as smuggling, trafficking, transportation, and manufacturing of drugs in accordance with the law. The Supreme People's Procuratorate has submitted procuratorial opinions and suggestions to relevant national departments to promote the strengthening of the supervision of anesthesia drugs in the medical industry. It is reported that in response to the new situation and characteristics of non-contact drug crimes and new drug crimes, various regions are exploring the development of big data legal supervision models for drug cases, enhancing the ability to discover, identify, analyze, and dispose of supervision clues. The procuratorial organs in Zhejiang, Sichuan, Hubei and other regions continue to build "data pools" for drug-related cases, accurately draw "digital portraits" of drug-related personnel, construct a family relationship diagram of the involved personnel, deeply investigate and investigate remaining crimes and omissions, and improve the effectiveness of drug crime punishment.
