2024-06-26

Kyle Richen, brand manager of Dutch car dealer Homes, recently stated in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that Chinese new energy vehicles are favored by consumers due to their advanced technology and high cost-effectiveness. He is very optimistic about the market prospects of Chinese new energy vehicles in Europe. Hommels was founded in 1934 and is an authorized dealer of Mercedes Benz in the Netherlands. It has long been dedicated to selling Mercedes Benz passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and trucks. In response to market changes and customer demand for new energy vehicles, the company has decided to introduce the high-end new energy brand Lantu Automobile under China Dongfeng Motor Corporation. Recently, Lantu Motors opened its first showroom in the Netherlands at its sales store in Hommes in the northern Dutch city of Alkmar. The reporter saw on site that outside the dark glass curtain wall of the store, there were huge Lantu and Mercedes Benz logos hanging. The interior space was divided into two parts, half showcasing Lantu and half showcasing Mercedes Benz. Richen said that Homes is optimistic about the market prospects of Chinese brand cars in European countries such as the Netherlands, and will soon open Lantu car showrooms in three other cities in the Netherlands, with plans to introduce it to the Belgian market in September this year. Before deciding to distribute the Lantu car, Homes Company purchased three exhibition cars and entrusted them to technical personnel with decades of work experience for comprehensive testing. "Their feedback is very good, and combined with the information we have learned from other European car importers, we have a high level of trust in product quality," said Riheng. Riheng believes that new energy vehicles and intelligent transportation are the future direction of transportation development. In April of this year, he went to China to participate in activities and visited the Beijing Auto Show. China's innovation and development left a deep impression on him. "In Wuhan, we have seen autonomous vehicle, as well as many new models of Chinese brands." "Electric vehicles make urban traffic quieter, and you can hear birds singing and feel the natural atmosphere." He said that the Netherlands is gradually promoting electric vehicles, hoping that in the future electric vehicles will bring a new scene to urban traffic in the Netherlands. (Lai Xin She)
