2024-06-25
Over the past 75 years, China Poland relations have maintained stable development. Especially since we jointly decided to elevate China Poland relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership 8 years ago, exchanges and cooperation in various fields between the two countries have been comprehensively expanded and deepened, and the results of cooperation have benefited the people of both countries. Currently, changes in the world, times, and history are unfolding in unprecedented ways. China is willing to work with Poland to adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, uphold the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, continue traditional friendship, promote the continuous development of bilateral relations to a higher level, and inject more stability and certainty into the ever-changing world.
Both sides should continue to adhere to the core of China Poland friendship of mutual respect, equal treatment, mutually beneficial cooperation, and exchange and learning. They should understand and support each other's efforts to safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, jointly oppose Cold War thinking and camp confrontation, maintain the international system centered on the United Nations, and promote the construction of an equal and orderly world multipolar and inclusive economic globalization. The two sides should make good use of mechanisms and platforms such as the China Poland Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, strengthen strategic coordination and overall planning of cooperation in various fields, jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, guarantee and promote cooperation in major projects such as China EU trains, and strengthen cooperation in trade, agriculture, digital economy, green industry, clean energy and other fields. China welcomes more high-quality Polish agricultural products to enter the Chinese market, supports the expansion of two-way investment, and hopes that Poland can provide a fair, just, and non discriminatory business environment for Chinese enterprises. The Chinese side has decided to implement a 15 day unilateral visa free policy for Polish citizens. Both sides should vigorously promote exchanges in cultural, youth, academic, media and other fields between the two countries. China is willing to work with Poland and other countries to promote the sustainable development of the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries, and to promote the healthy and stable development of China Europe relations.
Du Da said that I still vividly remember the first state visit to China in 2015 and the attendance at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympics in early 2022. This visit further witnesses the tremendous vitality of China's development. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Poland and China 75 years ago, the development of bilateral relations has always been based on equality and mutual respect. The Polish side highly appreciates China's long history and profound culture, and highly evaluates China's philosophy in international affairs and important contributions to world peace and development. Poland firmly adheres to the one China principle and is willing to continue to promote cooperation with China in jointly building the "the Belt and Road", deepen exchanges and cooperation in economy and trade, agriculture, infrastructure, connectivity, people to people and cultural exchanges, expand cooperation in innovation, digital economy, new energy vehicles and other new fields, and welcome more Chinese enterprises to invest in Poland. The Polish side is willing to closely communicate and cooperate with China on a multilateral basis, promote further development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Poland and China, and make positive contributions to promoting world peace and stability. Poland will assume the rotating presidency of the European Union in the first half of next year. Poland is willing to play a constructive role in promoting the development of EU China relations and continue to promote cooperation between Central and Eastern European countries and China.
Both sides also exchanged views on the Ukrainian crisis. At present, efforts should be made to avoid the escalation of conflicts, promote a cooling of the situation, and create conditions for peace talks. This is in line with the interests of the international community, including Europe. China opposes some people using the excuse of normal trade between China and Russia to divert conflicts and smear China. China encourages and supports all efforts that are conducive to peaceful resolution of crises, and promotes the construction of a balanced, effective, and sustainable European security architecture. China is willing to continue to play a constructive role in resolving the Ukrainian crisis in its own way.
After the meeting, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents in areas such as economy, trade, and agriculture.
Both sides have released the Action Plan of the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Poland on Strengthening Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (2024-2027).
When Duda arrived, the ceremonial soldiers lined up to pay tribute. The two heads of state stepped onto the reviewing platform, the military band played the national anthems of China and Poland, and 21 salutes were fired at Tiananmen Square.
Wang Yi participated in the above activities.
