The cumulative crude oil production of China's largest offshore self operated oilfield has exceeded 100 million tons

China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced on the 23rd that the Suizhong 36-1 oilfield, the largest self operated offshore oil field in China, has produced over 100 million tons of crude oil, becoming the first offshore oil field in China to produce over 100 million tons of crude oil. The Suizhong 36-1 oilfield is located in the northern part of the Bohai Bay. It was put into operation in 1993, with a peak annual crude oil production of over 5 million tons and a cumulative proven geological oil reserve of over 300 million tons. The oilfield currently has 24 offshore platforms, 545 oil and water wells, and a daily crude oil production of over 8900 tons. It is the main oilfield of Bohai Oilfield, the largest crude oil production base in China. Zhang Chunsheng, Deputy General Manager of CNOOC Tianjin Branch, introduced that the cumulative production of 100 million tons of crude oil plays an important role in ensuring energy security, promoting economic development, and meeting the needs of people's lives.
