2024-06-24
The National Health Commission recently held a press conference to introduce the further improvement of mechanisms and the continuous promotion of urban medical resources to be transferred to county-level hospitals and urban and rural grassroots. At the meeting, Li Dachuan, Deputy Director of the Medical Administration Department of the National Health Commission, introduced that in 2023, 2062 county hospitals nationwide participated in the capacity assessment of county hospitals, covering 98.6% of the country's counties. Among them, 1894 county hospitals reached the service capacity of second level or above hospitals, and the medical capacity of county hospitals was greatly improved. Li Dachuan introduced that in recent years, the National Health Commission, in conjunction with the Central Organization Department, has carried out a "group style" assistance for medical talents in key counties for national rural revitalization. Through "taking responsibility from the city, hospitals package hospitals", and adopting the approach of "mentors lead apprentices, teams lead teams", it helps assisted hospitals cultivate comprehensive management and professional technical talents. At present, 148 hospitals in key counties for national rural revitalization have reached the service capacity of second level or above hospitals, of which 67 hospitals have reached the service capacity of third level hospitals. Li Dachuan said that the National Health Commission continues to carry out targeted assistance work for tertiary hospitals, organizing 1173 tertiary hospitals nationwide to provide targeted assistance to 1496 county-level hospitals in 940 counties, helping county hospitals cultivate professional backbone and fill technical gaps. At present, 85% of the hospitals in the corresponding counties have reached the service capacity of second level or above hospitals, of which 44% have reached the service capacity of third level hospitals. It is reported that since 2005, the National Health Commission has organized and implemented the Rural Health Project with 10000 physicians, and has dispatched over 80000 medical personnel from tertiary hospitals to support work in county hospitals. Since 2011, the National Health Commission has organized a national medical team to carry out mobile medical services. A total of 170 national medical teams and over 1000 medical personnel have been dispatched, with a focus on counties and townships, to carry out mobile medical services such as disease diagnosis and treatment, health education, and personnel training, directly delivering high-quality medical services to patients.
