The National Library released the knowledge base of the Classic of Mountains and Seas on June 20th. Readers and enthusiasts of the Classic of Mountains and Seas can not only browse the massive book and shadow of the Classic of Mountains and Seas for free in the knowledge base, but also perform knowledge element search, literature search, and version comparison in the digital map axis of the Classic of Mountains and Seas. They can also personalize map indexing, image retrieval, and coloring. On June 20th, at the release of the knowledge base of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", children's dancers from Beijing Fusion Art Troupe performed the stage play "My View of the Sacred Beasts of Mountains and Seas" on site. It is reported that the first phase of the "Shan Hai Jing" knowledge base was launched in 2021, digitizing the collection of 92 different versions of the "Shan Hai Jing" ancient books in the National Library. After 3 years of deep processing and organization, tens of thousands of proper name indexes have been completed. After testing and running stably, it is now open to the public. (Lai Xin She)
