On June 19th, the 30th Beijing International Book Expo opened at the National Convention Center in Beijing. Li Shulei, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee, visited and researched the Expo. The Expo covers an exhibition area of 55000 square meters and is divided into domestic publishing exhibition area, overseas publishing exhibition area, online publishing exhibition area, and other exhibition areas, with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia serving as the guest of honor. 1600 exhibitors from 71 countries and regions participated, exhibiting 220000 types of books. More than 20 countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United States, have set up more than 20 national booths in the overseas exhibition area of the China International Import Expo. 29 international first-class publishing institutions, including Springer Nature, Penguin Random House, and Weili, have participated in the exhibition, showcasing high-quality foreign language books representing the excellent cultural achievements of various countries. NetEase, Tencent, Tiktok, Mihayou, Sanqi Mutual Entertainment and other enterprises focus on the display of online literature, online games and other new publishing achievements in the online publishing exhibition area.
