From the 14th to the 18th, Zhang Guoqing visited enterprises and research institutions in the fields of electronic information, biopharmaceuticals, commercial aerospace, shipbuilding, artificial intelligence, etc. in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai to gain on-site understanding of innovation research and development, production and manufacturing, and industry development. He pointed out that in order to promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, cultivate and develop new productive forces, it is necessary to adhere to leading industrial innovation with technological innovation. We must continue to deepen the high-quality development of key manufacturing industry chains, fully leverage the dual leading roles of chain owners and user enterprises, focus on tackling a number of key core technologies, and effectively build a solid technological foundation for industrial development. We need to strengthen the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, lay out and construct pilot platforms based on the needs of industrial development, and accelerate the transformation and industrial application of innovative achievements. We need to strengthen the position of enterprises as the main body of innovation, encourage the integration and innovation of large, medium, and small enterprises, as well as the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. Zhang Guoqing emphasized the need to deepen the implementation of large-scale equipment renewal actions and manufacturing technology transformation and upgrading projects, vigorously promote the elimination of old equipment, application of advanced equipment, and optimization of process flow in key industries, continuously increase the proportion of advanced production capacity, and promote the manufacturing industry to move towards the mid to high end. We should actively carry out the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, accelerate the construction and popularization of the industrial Internet, actively explore the application of large models in the industrial field, and promote the development of digital technology enabled and intelligent manufacturing. We need to improve energy consumption, emissions, and technical standards, vigorously promote energy-saving and carbon reduction technologies, and develop green manufacturing.
