On the 17th, the "Yunnan New Museum Chronicle - Xiangtian Song" exhibition is currently on display in Kunming, with over 150 pieces (sets) of art from China, France, Japan, and Belgium appearing at the Yunfang Museum, attracting citizens to visit the exhibition. This exhibition is a fusion exhibition that showcases porcelain from China's Sui Bai and Japan's Ivari porcelain, as well as painting works from China's Qing Dynasty export trade sketch painting and Japan's Yamato painting, as well as many works by famous artists such as French photographer Fang Suya, Belgian painter Charles Volan, contemporary Chinese artists Zhang Hong, and Lin Guocheng. The exhibition creates an aesthetic space of multicultural collision through a rich variety of exhibit types and clever layout. The picture shows visitors watching the exhibits of the "Yunnan New Museum - Xiangtian Song" exhibition. Entering the exhibition hall, the vivid and colorful Tong Cao paintings are very eye-catching. Tongcao painting is a type of painting that uses Western painting principles to depict the customs and traditions of the Qing Dynasty on Tongcao paper made of Tongtu wood. Its texture is very suitable for the needs of watercolor painting color transfer and ink application, and can present a colorful effect under light, which was very popular among Westerners at that time. "The origin of Tongcao is in China, and the Tongcao paper made in China, painted with Western aesthetic portraits of the Qing Dynasty, and other paintings are exported to foreign countries. The twists and turns in the story between these are a true portrayal of the collision of Eastern and Western cultures." Curator Jiang Tao said. "The photo exhibition area of this exhibition has some connection with Tongcao Painting." Jiang Tao introduced that in 1839, French painter Daguerre invented photography technology, and with it, traditional Chinese painting gradually disappeared and became a shooting star in the long river of history. Coincidentally, Yunnan, captured by the French photographer Auguste Fran ç ois (Chinese name Fang Suya), became the earliest documentary photography work in Asia to record a country's social profile. It has now become a witness to history and a precious memory. Ivani porcelain also has a considerable connection with China. It is a famous export porcelain from Japan. Japanese and Chinese Ivari porcelain borrowed and competed with each other from the mid-17th century to the mid-18th century, witnessing economic and cultural exchange and integration during the Age of Discovery The staff of the Yunfang Museum explained to the visitors that these hand cranked and hand ground coffee paintings by Belgian painter Charles Volan, along with the aristocratic and aesthetically pleasing tea drinking scenes presented by the Japanese Yamato painting next to them, form a cultural collision of "coffee and tea". This exhibition not only showcases traditional artworks, but also numerous cultural and creative products that integrate art with life. Among them, the "Sales Method Tuo" produced in Dali, Yunnan tells the story of a half century long "Sino French tea relationship" behind it; Liu Wenshan's Grass Painting Milk Tea Cultural Creation and the Yunnan Wild Mushroom Food Cultural Creation of "From Mountains and Forests to Dining Tables" showcased his pursuit and exploration of artistic beauty in terms of concept, packaging, and taste, enhancing the fun of the exhibition. Attracting the public to participate in exhibitions and promoting the development of Yunnan's cultural tourism industry is our original intention in creating this' aesthetic space '. In the future, this series of exhibitions will further explore cultural connotations, enrich exhibition forms, and use aesthetics to explain 'there is a kind of life called Yunnan' Jiang Tao said. This exhibition opened on June 16th and will last for 30 days. (Lai Xin She)
