The 2024 Global Digital Economy Conference Digital Security High Level Forum and Beijing Cybersecurity Conference Industry Summit (BCS) were recently held in Beijing. The Network and Data Security Committee of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce has convened 60 leading enterprises in the digital economy industry chain to jointly launch the initiative of "Building" Artificial Intelligence+"Security New Quality Productivity", calling on all sectors of society to work together, gather wisdom and strength from all parties, and promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and security. Experts attending the meeting believe that AI will become an important force in building reliable and controllable digital security defenses. "AI driven security has become an important innovation hotspot in the field of network security." Wu Yunkun, President of Qi'anxin Group, said that 60% of the new products released at the world's largest annual cybersecurity conference last month are closely related to AI technology. Among the top 10 innovation tracks in China's 2024 Security Maker Summit, AI security ranks second. At the same time, the traditional cybersecurity industry is also undergoing rapid transformation, accelerating its embrace of AI. Experts attending the meeting also reminded that current network attackers not only use AI technology to write programs, create viruses, and launch saturation attacks, but also "poison" or "infiltrate" the weaknesses of AI protection models themselves. Therefore, experts believe that network security protection in the AI era also needs to break through single point thinking and promote system construction. On the one hand, targeted measures should be taken to address network attacks and AI, with greater emphasis on innovation in AI security defense technology. On the other hand, the cybersecurity industry should establish a systematic thinking approach, not only promoting the establishment of collaborative and efficient security systems within enterprises, but also establishing more universal, mutually recognized, and open-source standard specifications and operating systems across the industry to enhance the security capabilities of the entire industry system.
