On June 16th, the Office of the State Council Work Safety Committee and the Ministry of Emergency Management held a national "Safety Promotion and Consultation Day" main event in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. Wang Xiangxi, Deputy Director of the State Council Work Safety Committee and Minister of Emergency Management, attended and delivered a speech; Huang Qiang, Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Governor, and Wang Fengchao, Deputy Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, delivered speeches; Song Yuanming, Deputy Director of the State Council Work Safety Commission and Deputy Minister of the Emergency Management Department, presided over the meeting; Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee, and Zuo Yongxiang, Deputy Governor of Sichuan Province, attended. We must closely focus on the theme and fully promote the "Smooth Life Passage" action, with a focus on "nine small venues", mixed operation venues with multiple formats, and densely populated areas. We will continue to promote "breaking down windows and networks", encourage the public to actively report, guide various production and operation units to actively reform, and truly make the life passage unobstructed; We must continue to work hard, firmly stabilize the safety situation, solidly promote the three-year action plan to address the root cause of safety production, resolutely curb major accidents, and effectively put ensuring the safety of people's lives first in practice; We should focus on the grassroots and vigorously improve the safety quality of the masses. We should promote the "Five Entries" of safety propaganda in a way that is popular and interactive with the masses, deliver safety knowledge and evacuation skills to the hands of the masses, and guide the public to be the first person responsible for their own safety. At the event site, a scenario drama performance was held on the themes of mining accident rescue, gas safety, and limited space operation safety. Representatives from 85 enterprises took safety oaths. The event also set up seven exhibition areas, including safety promotion "Five Entries", fire drills, creative interactive experiences, emergency equipment, heavy equipment, and safety culture. Through diverse and interactive publicity and consultation activities, the public's safety awareness and ability to avoid danger and escape are enhanced, and safety promotion and education are promoted to form a new powerful momentum, creating a strong atmosphere of concern for safety and care for life in the whole society.
