The Chinese team won 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. In the recently held Uzbekistan Law Enforcement Police Dog Expert International Open, a Chinese team consisting of 7 people and 3 dogs from the Armed Police Force Dog Base achieved good results with 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. This trip to Ukraine for competition is the first time that the entire military dog training institution has made an international appearance after the reform. It is also the first time that our military dog force has participated in the "Loyal Friends" competition of the "International Military Competition-2018" held by Russia in 2018, and has gone abroad for competition after a six-year hiatus. From June 3rd to 7th, the Chinese participating team competed with 27 participants from 13 participating teams from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries, focusing on four events: obedience of military dogs, 1500 meter running with dogs, 200 meter obstacle crossing with dogs, and specialized application. Sergeant class monitor Ren Kaiyu, who enlisted in 2019, won gold medals in two events: the 1500 meter race with his dog and the 200 meter obstacle race with his dog when he first competed abroad. Yang Yuhai, a first class sergeant who participated in the "Loyal Friends" competition twice, performed exceptionally well and won the championship in the military dog obedience competition. The leader of the Chinese participating team stated that during the competition, the team members had in-depth exchanges with other participating countries in dog training and breeding, and learned about the unique characteristics and strengths of foreign military dogs. The next step is to transform the beneficial experiences learned in the competition into teaching and training results, and improve the abilities of military dogs in explosive detection, identification, tracking, and other aspects.
