It is understood that the entire military forces adhere to the starting point and foothold of ensuring military environmental safety, protecting the physical and mental health of officers and soldiers, and enhancing the combat effectiveness of the troops, and vigorously promote the ecological civilization concept and environmental awareness of officers and soldiers, supervision and management of ecological environment safety in military areas, and construction of ecological restoration projects. The construction of campsites not only highlights military functions, but also increases efforts in environmental restoration and afforestation, achieving an organic unity of military and ecological benefits. The relevant departments of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission actively promote the revision of military environmental protection regulations and standards, and have basically formed a military environmental regulatory system, providing regulatory and institutional support for various aspects of military ecological environment protection management. In 2023, the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission further standardized the environmental impact assessment work of the military, jointly issued a notice with relevant departments of the Military Commission to clarify relevant regulations and complete the environmental impact assessment work with high quality and efficiency. The entire military actively participates in and supports the construction of the ecological environment at the base, maintains national ecological security, and continues to participate in afforestation and greening work. The forest and grass resources in military areas have steadily increased, and the ecological greening of key areas has achieved significant results. Every year, the entire military unit also organizes, plans, and participates in the "jointly building a green home" activity at the base, using practical actions to support the construction of the second hometown.
