The 2024 China Digital Economy Development and Rule of Law Construction Forum was held in Beijing

On June 1, the "2024 China Digital Economy Development and Rule of Law Construction Forum" jointly sponsored by the China Economic Reform Research Foundation, the China Law Exchange Foundation, and the Science and Technology and Law Research Center of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Beijing. The forum, with the theme of "Development of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Legal Response", adheres to the equal emphasis on the development and standardization of the digital economy, highlights high-end, cutting-edge, and authoritative aspects, focuses on policy interpretation and prospects for the development trend of the digital economy, aiming to contribute wisdom and strength to further promote "Artificial Intelligence+" and the development of the digital economy. Peng Sen, President of the China Economic System Reform Research Association, Gan Zangchun, Vice President of the China Law Society, Fang Xin, Professor of the School of Public Policy and Management of the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Director of the Center for Science, Technology and Law Research, delivered speeches. Xu Jun, editor in chief of the Political and Legal Interview Room of the Political and Cultural Department of the People's Daily, secretary of the Youth League Committee of the People's Daily, and member of the Standing Committee of the Youth League Central Committee, gave keynote speeches on issues such as artificial intelligence and big models. Jiang Ying, President of the Beijing Internet Court, Gu Zhengyi, Judge of the Intellectual Property Tribunal of the Supreme People's Court, and others made keynote speeches on hot issues such as the legislative trend of international and domestic AI legislation, the challenges and responses faced by justice in the era of AI, the development trend of AI, and the intellectual property issues involved in AI. During the forum, ten major influential events on the development of China's digital economy and the construction of the rule of law in 2024 were released. The forum also initiated the application and recommendation of major influential events in the development of China's digital economy and rule of law in 2025.
