The Chinese Navy's 83rd fleet completed a friendly visit to East Timor on the 3rd and departed from Dili Port. At this point, the Chinese Navy's 83rd ship formation has successfully completed the mission of this voyage and will continue to organize internships and training for students during the return voyage. At 9am local time, Dongfang held a grand farewell ceremony at the dock. More than 200 people, including Chinese Ambassador to East Timor Wang Wenli, Chief of Staff of the East Timor Navy Nicholas, Director General of the Ministry of National Defense Nuno, and personnel from the East Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and National Defense Force, as well as representatives of Chinese funded enterprises, medical teams, and overseas Chinese in East Timor, went to the dock to bid farewell. During the visit to East Timor, the commander of the Chinese formation met with the commander of the Eastern Navy and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense. The visiting officers and soldiers visited the military facilities of the Eastern Navy, the National Defense Research Institute, and other places, and conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges, ball friendly matches, and other activities with Eastern defense officers and soldiers, university teachers and students, and young diplomats from the Chinese Embassy in East Timor. During the berthing period, the Chinese Navy's 83rd ship formation organized multiple ship opening activities, and personnel from the Chinese Embassy in East Timor, the East Timor military, local citizens, overseas Chinese, and Chinese funded institutions boarded the ship to visit. On the evening of May 31st, the Chinese Navy ship Qi Jiguang held a deck reception, attended by more than 200 people from both sides of the Middle East. The visiting students brought traditional folk music, dance, martial arts and other performances. On May 10th of this year, the 83rd formation, consisting of the Chinese Navy's Qi Jiguang and Jinggangshan ships, carried over 1200 naval trainees and officers and soldiers respectively from a military port and a civilian port in Dalian, Liaoning, to carry out long-distance internship missions and visit Cambodia and East Timor.
