According to the website of the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, recently, the National Bureau of Disease Control and Prevention, together with 9 departments including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Health Commission, the General Administration of Customs, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Health Bureau of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, jointly issued the National Action Plan for Disease Prevention and Control (2024-2025) (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"). The Action Plan proposes 25 measures in 4 aspects. One is the overall requirement. Clarify the overall principles and goals of disease prevention and control work, and propose that by 2025, a modern disease control system will be initially established. A multi-point triggering, rapid response, and scientific and efficient infectious disease monitoring, early warning, and emergency system will be basically established. The health administrative law enforcement system will be further improved, the scientific research capabilities of disease control institutions will be steadily improved, and the education and training system for disease control talents will be further improved. The overall situation of major infectious diseases remains stable, and the achievements in eliminating infectious and endemic diseases such as schistosomiasis continue to consolidate. We will prevent and reduce the occurrence and spread of sudden acute infectious diseases in China to the greatest extent possible, and continuously enhance the sense of gain, happiness, and security of the people. The second is to strengthen the prevention and control of infectious and endemic diseases, as well as public health supervision. We will focus on the implementation of 10 major actions, including the prevention and control of acute respiratory infectious diseases such as COVID-19, the prevention and control of major infectious diseases such as AIDS and tuberculosis, the improvement of vaccination services, the prevention and control of major parasitic diseases such as schistosomiasis and echinococcosis, the consolidation and maintenance of the ability to eliminate and basically eliminate diseases, the consolidation and improvement of the prevention and control of endemic diseases, key public health interventions, the prevention and control of infectious diseases, public health supervision and law enforcement, disease control education and health promotion. The third is to strengthen system construction and support guarantee. Key efforts will be made to strengthen the monitoring and early warning system for infectious diseases, the emergency response system and capabilities of the disease control system, the health administrative law enforcement system, the disease control research system, the education and training system for the disease control talent team, the infrastructure construction of disease control institutions, the management of infectious disease medical institutions, the rule of law and standards in the field of disease control, disease control informatization, international cooperation and exchange, and cross-border infectious disease joint prevention and control.
