On the afternoon of the 29th, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, held talks with Kochanova, Chairman of the Republic of Belarus National Assembly, at the Great Hall of the People.
Zhao Leji stated that China and Belarus are good friends who treat each other with sincerity and mutual assistance.   China is willing to work with Belarus to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and promote the continuous development of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus.
The two countries should continue their traditional friendship, constantly consolidate political mutual trust, jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, and further deepen international cooperation. China is willing to work together with Belarus to implement the Global Development Initiative, Global Security Initiative, and Global Civilization Initiative, and promote world peace and development.
Zhao Leji emphasized that the long-term close exchanges and cooperation between the legislative bodies of China and Belarus are an important component of the bilateral relationship. The two sides have established a Legislative Cooperation Committee, which is a concrete action to implement the important consensus of the two heads of state and deepen the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership. The National People's Congress of China is willing to work with the White National Assembly to make good use of mechanisms and platforms such as the Cooperation Committee, strengthen friendly exchanges at all levels of the legislative body, exchange experiences on legislation, supervision, and opposition to external sanctions and interference, and provide legal guarantees for the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations; Closely unite and collaborate in multilateral organizations such as the Interparliamentary Union to safeguard the common interests of developing countries.
Zhao Leji introduced the relevant situation of legislation in China's foreign-related field. He stated that in improving the rule of law related to foreign affairs, the legislative bodies of China and Belarus can strengthen experience exchange and cooperation, better safeguard their respective national security and development interests, and promote global governance towards a more just and reasonable direction.
Bai firmly adheres to the One China principle and hopes to further expand cooperation in various fields. The White National Assembly is willing to work with the National People's Congress of China to fully leverage the role of the Cooperation Committee, deepen exchanges and mutual learning, and continuously enhance the public opinion foundation of friendship between the two countries.
