The two heads of state announced the upgrade of China Equatorial Guinea relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations for more than half a century, both sides have always stood by each other and worked together, firmly supporting each other on issues related to each other's core interests and major concerns. This has become a vivid portrayal of China's sincere friendship and joint development with African countries. Under the new situation, consolidating and developing China Equatorial Guinea relations is in line with the fundamental interests and common expectations of both countries and their peoples. China firmly supports Equatorial Guinea in safeguarding national sovereignty and independence, opposing foreign interference, and independently exploring its own development path. It is willing to take the opportunity of enhancing comprehensive strategic partnership with Equatorial Guinea to further strengthen friendly exchanges in various fields and levels, deepen experience exchanges in reform and development, poverty alleviation, and other fields, and inject lasting momentum into the traditional friendship between the two countries.
The Chinese side encourages capable Chinese enterprises to invest and develop in Equatorial Guinea, and is willing to share their experience in agricultural and rural development with Equatorial Guinea. They will continue to carry out agricultural technical assistance projects, fully leverage the role of the Chinese medical team, China Equatorial Guinea friendly hospitals, and deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of healthcare, education, culture, etc., so as to pass on the traditional friendship between the two countries and better benefit the people of both countries.
China is willing to work with developing countries such as Equatorial Guinea to promote the spirit of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, strengthen coordination and cooperation in international affairs, safeguard the common interests of developing countries and international fairness and justice, and promote the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind. Developing unity and cooperation with African countries is an important cornerstone of China's foreign policy. China is willing to hold a new summit of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation with Africa, further promote traditional friendship, deepen unity and cooperation, jointly discuss future development and cooperation plans, and open a new chapter in building a community with a shared future for China and Africa.
Obiang stated that China is a great Eastern country, a good brother and reliable strategic partner of Equatorial Guinea. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 54 years ago, bilateral relations have always maintained friendly development and are currently in the best historical period. China's cooperation with Equatorial Guinea has always been based on equality and mutual respect, and has never been imposed on others. The important projects such as China's aid to Africa medical team and the construction of the China Equatorial Guinea Friendship Hospital have benefited the local people and become symbols of Africa China friendship. Equatorial Guinea is willing to open its doors to China and welcome Chinese enterprises to invest and cooperate in Equatorial Guinea, helping it achieve economic diversification and industrialization, and achieving sustainable and healthy development of the country.   Equatorial Guinea highly praises China's active efforts in promoting political solutions to regional hot issues and promoting world peace and development. It is willing to strengthen cooperation with China within the frameworks of the Forum on China Africa Cooperation and the BRICS countries, and promote the development of the global governance system towards a more fair and reasonable direction.  
After the meeting, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of multiple bilateral cooperation documents on investment, economic development, digital economy, green development, and the implementation of global development initiatives.
Both sides have issued a joint statement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.
When Obiang arrived, the ceremonial soldiers lined up to pay tribute. The two heads of state stepped onto the reviewing platform, the military band played the national anthems of China and Equatorial Guinea, and 21 salutes were fired at Tiananmen Square.
