Ding Xuexiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, attended the signing ceremony of the Kunming Biodiversity Fund Cooperation Agreement and delivered a speech in Beijing on the 28th. As the President of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, China has led the achievement of the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and taken the lead in funding the establishment of the Kunming Biodiversity Fund, making important contributions to global biodiversity conservation. Ding Xuexiang expressed the hope that relevant parties can take the launch of the Kunming Biodiversity Fund as an opportunity to work together to strengthen biodiversity protection and jointly build a community of life on Earth. Focus on key goals, actively support biodiversity conservation, sustainable utilization, and benefit sharing, and help achieve the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Carry out practical actions to provide funding, technology, and capacity support for developing countries to implement the "Kunmeng Framework". Strengthen unity and cooperation, adhere to multilateralism and international operations, welcome relevant countries, institutions and organizations to contribute to the Kunming Biodiversity Fund, and support the achievement of the "Kunmeng Framework" goals. United Nations Deputy Secretary General Amina delivered a video speech, and UN Deputy Secretary General and Executive Director of the Environment Programme, Arnold, attended the event and delivered a speech. The Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China has signed a cooperation agreement with relevant United Nations agencies.
