On the 28th, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Yemeni Foreign Minister Zandani and Sudanese Foreign Minister Hussein respectively in Beijing to attend the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China Arab Cooperation Forum. When meeting with Zandani, Wang Yi expressed that China firmly supports the maintenance of Yemen's sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity, and has always cherished the traditional friendship between China and Yemen. The tense situation in the Red Sea is a prominent manifestation of the spillover of the Gaza conflict. The Chinese side calls for an end to the harassment of civilian ships and the maintenance of the safety of navigation channels in the Red Sea area. I hope that all parties involved in the Yemen issue will adhere to the general direction of political resolution and continue to resolve conflicts and differences through dialogue and negotiation. Zandani stated that the Yemeni side attaches great importance to relations with China and adheres to the One China principle. I believe that the 10th Ministerial Meeting of the China Arab Cooperation Forum will push collective cooperation between China and Arab countries to a new level. When meeting with Hussein, Wang Yi expressed China's support for Sudan to maintain national sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, support Sudan in achieving domestic peace and stability, and support Sudan in exploring development paths that are in line with its own national conditions. We appreciate Sudan's active support and participation in the construction of the Forum on China Arab Cooperation, and are also willing to work with African countries, including Sudan, to successfully host this year's Forum on China African Cooperation summit.
