China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have a history of nearly two thousand years of friendly exchanges. The two sides are good brothers, friends, and partners, and their relationship has continued to develop healthily. They have embarked on a new path of unity, cooperation, mutual respect, and mutual benefit, becoming a model for building a new type of international relations. The development advantages of China Sea are highly complementary, with a solid foundation and broad prospects for pragmatic cooperation. Faced with the complex and ever-changing international situation, deepening China Sea cooperation is conducive to promoting regional stability and development, and will bring enormous benefits to the people of both sides. We must promote the friendly spirit of "mutual assistance, equality and mutual benefit, inclusiveness and mutual learning", adhere to the principle of consultation, construction and sharing, work together to promote high-quality development of industrial and investment cooperation, and strive to inject new impetus into the prosperity and development of China and the GCC countries.
Ding Xuexiang put forward four suggestions on deepening cooperation between China and the GCC countries. One is to strengthen top-level design and deepen strategic alignment. Strengthen the docking of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with the development strategy and vision planning of the GCC countries, actively make good use of cooperation mechanisms in various fields, and constantly enrich the connotation of bilateral strategic cooperation. The second is to strengthen pragmatic cooperation and promote common development. We will conscientiously implement the 2023-2027 Action Plan of the China Sea Strategic Dialogue, consolidate and expand cooperation in traditional fields such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, and infrastructure, actively carry out cooperation in emerging fields such as clean energy and digital economy, and achieve more tangible cooperation results. The third is to strengthen service guarantees and optimize the business environment. China will steadily expand its institutional opening-up, providing greater space and convenience for enterprises from various countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council to invest in China. We hope that these countries can create favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises to develop in China. The fourth is to strengthen mutual support and promote the integration of interests. Actively advocating for an equal and orderly world multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization, working together to implement global development initiatives, global security initiatives, and global civilization initiatives, and promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Emir Mischal of Kuwait, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad of Saudi Arabia sent congratulatory letters to the forum, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Director of the Presidential Office Mansour delivered video speeches, and representatives of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait and other countries, as well as the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, delivered speeches.
About 600 representatives from government departments, industry enterprises, financial institutions, and other sectors of China and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries attended the forum. (Lai Xin She)
