It is reported that in 2023, there were 3369 cultural enterprises above designated size in Shenzhen, an increase of 226 compared to the previous year. The revenue scale exceeded one trillion yuan for the first time, achieving a revenue of 1100795 billion yuan, accounting for 49.0% of Guangdong Province and 8.5% of the national total. Statistical data shows that 16 industries in Shenzhen with obvious characteristics of new cultural formats have achieved operating revenue of 506.346 billion yuan, continuously empowering new quality productivity, and the cultural industry is showing a trend of high-quality development. The advantageous industries of Shenzhen's cultural industry are mainly distributed in software development, jewelry manufacturing, electronic information product manufacturing, printing, etc. In 2023, the revenue from five major categories including content creation and production, news and information services, cultural consumption terminal production, creative design services, and cultural equipment production all exceeded 100 billion yuan. Shenzhen's foreign cultural import and export trade volume has steadily increased. The relevant person in charge of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Statistics stated that in recent years, the technological content and added value of Shenzhen's cultural export products have been continuously improving, and digital cultural trade has developed rapidly. Foreign digital cultural products and services represented by online games and anime have become new growth points. According to statistical data, there are 17 cultural enterprises in Shenzhen with operating income exceeding 10 billion yuan, accounting for half of the total operating income of cultural enterprises in Shenzhen. More than 25% of cultural enterprises above designated size in Shenzhen have the qualification of national high-tech enterprises, 44 domestic and foreign listed enterprises, and 253 specialized, refined, and new enterprises. The scale, intensification, and specialization of industry scale enterprises are gradually increasing. The relevant person in charge of the Shenzhen Academy of Social Sciences stated that the cultural industry system in Shenzhen is constantly improving, expanding in scale, with a high degree of integration of culture and technology, and constantly forming new industrial growth space. Special attention is paid to the digital empowerment effect of the cultural industry and the role of new productive forces, presenting new characteristics in terms of business content, organizational models, and cross-border integration.
