"In the current context of globalization, calligraphy, as a carrier of Chinese character writing, plays an important role in international communication and cultural dissemination, becoming a powerful entry point for China's cultural exchange with foreign countries." Chinese and foreign experts and scholars have discussed topics such as "Chinese calligraphy in mutual learning of civilizations" and "the internationalization and diversity of Chinese calligraphy". Honorary Professor Matsuura Zhang from Kansai University in Japan explained the origins of calligraphy exchange between China and Japan from the perspective of maritime transportation. He said that during the Edo period, Japan imported many Buddhist scriptures related to Wang Xizhi from China through the "Tang Dynasty Ship" and re copied and reprinted them in Japan, making their works increasingly popular, thus forming Japan's continued admiration for the calligrapher Wang Xizhi. Professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Italian sinologist Bi Luo believes that from the perspective of cultural significance and artistic content of calligraphy, calligraphy is a cultural and artistic tradition that deserves global attention. He proposed to compare representative figures and works in the history of calligraphy with those in Western art history, in order to attract more attention and understanding of calligraphy art from the West. Professor Bai Qianshen from Zhejiang University elaborated on the development process and current situation of Chinese calligraphy in the United States, believing that the development of Chinese calligraphy in the United States is closely related to art historian Fang Wen. Starting from the 1960s, Fang Wen trained several doctoral students in Chinese calligraphy at Princeton University. He also established important calligraphy collections at Princeton University and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and held important calligraphy exhibitions. Associate Professor and Korean scholar Song Mingxin from Xiamen University said that Chinese calligraphy was introduced to Korea very early. On the basis of learning Chinese calligraphy, Korean calligraphy has maintained the unique calligraphy beauty of its own ethnic group, forming a Korean calligraphy style that sets it apart from China and Japan. In this sense, today's calligraphy culture has international significance.
