Shanghai: From the perspective of robot density, enterprises are striving towards "innovation"
2024-05-23
Applying glue to Bluetooth earphones without any shaking, precision welding for car manufacturing, and "brushing" the "big pot" of China's Tianyan... Walking into Jieka Robotics Co., Ltd. located in the "Big Zero Bay" technology innovation source functional area in Shanghai, you will see rows of "tall, short, fat, and thin" robots that can "showcase their skills" in different application scenarios. "Entering the era of flexible and intelligent manufacturing from large-scale industrial manufacturing, the product iteration cycle is accelerating, and the requirements for personalized design and rapid production feedback are higher, which in turn puts forward higher requirements for human-machine interaction and collaboration." Li Mingyang, Chairman of Jieka Robotics Co., Ltd., said. Liberate human hands and ignite sparks of wisdom. The rapidly growing Jieka robots are a microcosm of Shanghai and even China's intelligent manufacturing and digital transformation. A group of local robot "new forces" represented by them have also become a shining business card of China's new quality productivity. At the Shanghai Xinshida Robot Super Factory, one "full length triangular manufacturing" robot can be produced every 12 minutes: bearings from Wenzhou, servo motors from Quzhou, harmonic reducers from Suzhou... In collaboration with 12 upstream and downstream enterprises, more than 4700 "full length triangular manufacturing" robots with higher efficiency and lower cost have been produced. Zhang Zhenkui, Special Assistant to the Chairman of Xinshida Electric Co., Ltd., stated that the Yangtze River Delta region is a gathering area for high-quality development of China's robotics industry, with robot production capacity accounting for over 50% of the country's total, empowering thousands of industries. Shanghai is the first city in China to include robot density in the statistics. The so-called robot density refers to the number of robots per 10000 employees. At present, the density of robots in Shanghai's key industrial enterprises above designated size reaches 426 per 10000 people, ranking at the world's leading level. Chinese robots are still accelerating their global expansion, and their "circle of friends" is becoming wider and wider. At the recent Hanover Industrial Fair in Germany, Jieka Robotics launched its first exhibition of new products, showcasing the global layout and practice of China's self transformation of robots and industrial automation. Especially, Jieka has become the first collaborative robot manufacturer in China to obtain SRCI (Standard Robot Command Interface) certification, which means that Jieka has integrated into the supply chain system of international leading industrial users, providing greater opportunities and potential for expanding its overseas markets. "Based on the process library accumulated by artificial intelligence and big data, the intelligent perception, trajectory planning, operation accuracy, and interaction ability of robots are continuously optimized. Collaborative robots enable 'machines to learn from humans', making the user experience simpler, and workers can use them after simple training." Li Mingyang said. Industry insiders predict that as production models gradually shift from standardization, batch production, and scaling to personalization, small batch production, and multi frequency, robots will serve as the smallest working unit embedded in the entire production process, driving new industries with new applications and leveraging large markets with small scenarios. According to the Implementation Plan for the "Robot+" Application Action jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and 17 other departments in 2023, by 2025, the density of manufacturing robots will double compared to 2020, and the depth and breadth of application in the service robot and special robot industries will significantly increase. The ability of robots to promote high-quality economic and social development will be significantly enhanced. Zhang Ying, Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, stated that "robot+" is serving people in more fields. Based on the principles of "one industry, one policy", "hierarchical classification", and "one factory, multiple landscapes", Shanghai is promoting the entry of 10000 industrial robots into intelligent factories. It is expected that the density of robots in key industries will reach 500 per 10000 people by 2025. At the same time, Shanghai is accelerating the construction of a national level innovation center for humanoid robot manufacturing, accelerating the research and development of open-source humanoid robot prototypes, tackling key technologies such as embodied intelligence models, and creating an innovation ecosystem that integrates technology research and development, achievement incubation, talent cultivation, and platform support.
