The "2023 Shenzhen Robot Industry Development White Paper" released in April this year shows that the number of patent applications and authorizations in the Shenzhen robot industry has exploded in the past decade, with more and more entrepreneurs entering the robot industry. In 2023, there were over 10000 newly registered enterprises, and the total output value of the industry chain was 179.7 billion yuan. The dream of building a "city of overcharging" in Shenzhen is being accelerated under the promotion of "primitive innovation" in technology, including full liquid cooling design, new vehicle development, construction of new power systems, and construction of industrial ecology. A household car usually takes 7 to 8 hours to fully charge using a slow charging station, while using a fast charging station only takes 1 to 2 hours. As of April 30th, Shenzhen has built a total of 362 supercharging stations, exceeding the number of traditional gas stations. According to data from the Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau of Southern Power Grid, the charging volume of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen reached 670 million kilowatt hours in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 10.9%, reflecting the improvement of the Shenzhen new energy vehicle market and the effective operation of charging infrastructure. The scientific and technological innovation strength and attractiveness of the Greater Bay Area have continued to strengthen. In the Guangming District where SMART is located, Shenzhen is making every effort to promote the construction of the Guangming Science City, focusing on the three disciplines of information, life, and new materials. At present, the synthetic biology major scientific device is operating smoothly here, and the construction of over 20 major scientific and technological innovation carriers is rolling forward. More than 20 academician teams and over 5400 scientific research talents from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao are continuously accelerating innovation. "The large facilities will promote the development and upgrading of the synthetic biology industry, and several well-known companies have expressed their intention to use them." Yuan Hai, deputy director of the Institute of Synthetic Biology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, introduced that the large scientific device has been equipped with a synthetic biology industry fund of 1.5 billion yuan, and a full chain enterprise cultivation model of "scientific research transformation industry" has been established, which has greatly shortened the time cycle from original innovation to industrial transformation, and scientific research and industry have achieved "two-way rush".
