The 2024 Serbia China Film Week opened on the 18th in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, with nearly 100 people from various sectors of Serbia and representatives from China attending the opening ceremony. Chinese Ambassador to Serbia, Li Ming, stated in his opening speech that China and Serbia have a profound friendship that transcends time and space, and cultural exchange is an important link of friendship between China and Serbia. The classic Yugoslav films "Bridge" and "Walter Defends Sarajevo" are well-known in China. I believe that through this China Film Week event, the Serbian people will have a deeper understanding of China, experience the charm of Chinese culture, and contribute to enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two peoples. Assistant Minister of Culture of Serbia, Blagojevic, stated that under the leadership of the leaders of the two countries, Serbia China relations have been elevated to the highest level in history, becoming the foundation for strengthening cooperation in various fields between the two countries. This China Film Week is a celebration dedicated to the community with a shared future between Serbia and China. The 2024 Serbia China Film Week is jointly organized by the State Film Administration of China, the Embassy of China in Serbia, and the Ministry of Culture of Serbia. It is jointly hosted by the China Film Channel, the Belgrade China Cultural Center, and the Serbia Film Center. The event will continue until May 24th, during which five excellent Chinese films will be screened in Belgrade and the second largest city in Serbia, Novi Sad, including "Fengshen Part 1: Chaoge Fengyun", "Chang'an 30000 Li", "In an Octagonal Cage", "I Love You!", and "The Disappearing She". At the opening ceremony that day, the first part of "Fengshen: Chaoge Fengyun" was screened. (Lai Xin She)
