From May 17th to 20th, 2024, Liu Guozhong, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, visited Kyrgyzstan and held meetings and talks with Kyrgyzstan's President Zaparov and Prime Minister A Zaparov respectively, exchanging in-depth views on China Kyrgyzstan relations and cooperation in various fields. Liu Guozhong stated that with the personal care and direct promotion of the two heads of state, cooperation in various fields between China and Kyrgyzstan has been comprehensively promoted, and China Kyrgyzstan relations have achieved leapfrog development. China is willing to work with Kyrgyzstan to fully implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other on issues related to each other's core interests, jointly build the "the Belt and Road" with high quality, constantly deepen and expand practical cooperation, strengthen coordination and cooperation within the China Central Asia mechanism and other multilateral frameworks, and work together to build a community of common destiny between China and Kyrgyzstan that is good neighborly, friendly, shared and prosperous. The Kyrgyz side reiterated its firm support for China on major issues related to Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet and Hong Kong, supported the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, the global security initiative, the global development initiative and the global civilization initiative, and was willing to work with China to promote the construction of the "the Belt and Road", strengthen cooperation in connectivity, trade and investment, cultural tourism and other fields, help common development and enhance people's well-being. During the visit, Liu Guozhong inspected the Confucius Institute at Bishkek National University, as well as projects related to the renovation of municipal road networks in Otongke and Bishkek.
