Former President and People Power Party candidate Fernandez received approximately 28% of the vote, ranking second. Fernandez said on social media on the evening of the 19th that he had called Abinadel to congratulate him on winning the election and wished him a smooth future in power. Abinadir was born in the capital city of Santo Domingo in 1967 and won the presidential election as a candidate for the Modern Revolutionary Party in 2020. The presidential election will be held from 7:00 to 17:00 local time on the 19th, with a total of 9 candidates competing. The Dominican presidential election is held every four years.
