According to a report on the website of the German newspaper "Munich Messenger" on May 13th, Norwegian company Konsberg Defense and Aerospace has signed a contract with German partner Deir Defense and the European Missile Group to jointly promote the development of "supersonic precision guided weapons" in Norway and Germany. This type of weapon is called the 3SM "Tilfeng" or "supersonic strike missile". According to reports, the Norwegian government announced in November 2023 that it would develop this new type of "super weapon". The above three companies have officially announced that they will join forces for this. This is essential for successfully completing this project. Kang Shibo Defense and Aerospace announced on the 13th that this cooperation will combine the advantages of various enterprises and decades of experience in missile development. In order to define what "the world's most advanced long-range guided weapons" are, the R&D team will work closely with the military and research institutions of both countries. According to reports, the 3SM "Tilfeng" is an anti-ship missile that will replace the existing similar products of Compaq Defense and Aerospace. This new type of supersonic missile is planned to be equipped in the military starting from 2035 and installed on naval vessels in Germany and Norway. Its research and development work will ensure Norway's leading position in the international missile market, and strengthen the national defense capabilities of Norway and Germany in the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The report states that the 3SM "Tilfeng" is not currently the only military project jointly developed by Norway and Germany.
