The "2023 Development and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights in Fujian Province (White Paper)" released at the meeting showed that in 2023, the number of patent authorizations in Fujian Province reached 120264, including 17858 invention patents, a year-on-year increase of 10.15%. As of the end of 2023, the effective number of invention patents in Fujian Province was 90927, a year-on-year increase of 21.13%. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration have granted 297 new plant species rights to the genera Phalaenopsis and Plum in Fujian Province. At the same time, the Market Supervision Bureau of Fujian Province is promoting the pilot and demonstration construction of a strong intellectual property country and implementing a special plan for patent conversion. In 2023, Fujian Province completed 5712 patent intensive product registrations and selected 183 national advantageous demonstration enterprises. The amount of patent pledge is 10.07 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%; The provincial tax bureau has implemented preferential policies for intellectual property related taxes and fees, with a total of 278 taxpayers enjoying the policy of exemption from value-added tax on technology transfer and development, with a cumulative exemption from value-added tax of 70.1113 million yuan; The Provincial Development and Reform Commission encourages joint key technology research and development in a market-oriented manner, and has achieved significant results in technological breakthroughs, engineering verification, and achievement transformation and implementation; The pilot program of "blockchain+copyright" launched by the Provincial Copyright Bureau has become one of the 12 characteristic copyright pilot programs in China.
