The first stop of the three-day "China Africa Economic and Trade Expo Entering Africa" concluded on the 11th in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The theme of this event is "China Africa Joins Hands to Create a Better Future". China Africa Investment and Trade Promotion Cooperation Exchange Conference and Kenya International Investment Conference have been held successively, as well as China Africa Agricultural Cooperation, Cultural and Tourism Promotion, Enterprise Consultation and other meetings. During the event, 37 projects were signed with relevant parties from China and Africa, with a total amount of 891 million US dollars, and 34 projects were connected. In the special event of cultural and tourism promotion, the China Kenya Tourism Service Platform was officially established. The platform was jointly initiated by the Hunan Province China Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Research Association and 12 China Kenya enterprises. Kenya's Minister of Tourism and Wildlife, Alfred Mutua, stated that Kenya will deepen cultural and tourism cooperation with China, ensure tourist satisfaction, and drive economic growth. Since 2019, the China Africa Economic and Trade Expo has been successfully held for three sessions in Changsha, Hunan. The second stop of the 2024 China Africa Economic and Trade Expo Entering Africa is planned to be held in Nigeria in November. (Lai Xin She)
