Appreciate the fruitful achievements of the new era's dual support work in the "two-way journey" between cities and ships
2024-05-11
The two-way rush between the city and the ship, with the whistle blowing and the warship berthing. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Navy, multiple warships are anchored at the docks of coastal cities, holding an open day event for ships and receiving visits from the public. In Tangshan, Hebei, Yantai, Shandong, Wenzhou, Zhejiang, Xiamen, Fujian and other places, ships named after cities come to their respective named cities to have close contact with citizens and carry out a series of support activities. Using the same name as a traction, the city has a special connection with warships. This time, people from all over the country welcomed the return of warships, further consolidating the hearts of the military and the people, strengthening the relationship between the military and the government, and inspiring the whole society to show concern and support for the development of national defense and military construction. Following the Navy Wenzhou ship, which returned to the named city for the first time, and the Navy Yantai ship, which docked in Yantai City, Shandong Province for the second year in a row, we witnessed touching scenes of the construction of screen city ships, and also tasted the fruitful results of the new era's dual support work. The Navy Yantai ship has returned to the named city of Yantai, Shandong Province for two consecutive years - Shanhai once again "joins hands" with the people of Yantai, Shandong Province to welcome the docking of the Yantai ship. Liang Qiaoyan, the inheritor of Wu Ti's intangible cultural heritage, experienced Paper Cuttings together with the women soldiers of Yantai warship. During the rainy season when Wu Di took photos, the wind was gentle and the sun was beautiful. On April 19th, the Navy Yantai ship slowly sailed into the K11 dock of Yantai Port under the sun. The square not far away is bustling with people and red flags, and Yantai citizens welcome the Yantai ship home with enthusiastic and unrestrained "Haiyang Dayangge". On the dock, an elderly man stands out particularly. 98 year old veteran Sun Youjie, who had experienced the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and had won 10 victories, heard that the Yantai ship was visiting his "second hometown" again and was waiting for the arrival of his hometown ship at the dock early on. After the ship docked, Sun Youjie boarded the battleship with the help of young sailors. He carefully examined every aspect of the ship's structure, gently stroked the various weapons and equipment on board, and exchanged greetings with the sailors. "Our motherland has become stronger and our warships are becoming more and more advanced. I am so happy!" Sun Youjie said excitedly. In recent years, Yantai warships and Yantai city have vigorously promoted the work of mutual support and construction. For two consecutive years, Yantai warships have carried out a series of activities called "Walking Together in Mountains and Seas, Returning to Yantai". The two sides have worked together to hold a series of activities such as national defense education lectures, intangible cultural heritage exchanges, open visits to warships, and special professional exhibitions and exchanges, jointly playing the touching music of "Love My Hometown, Love My Ship, Love My People, Love Our Army" in the new era. The battleship returned to the named city and deeply felt the enthusiasm of the people in their hometown to support the army, immersing themselves in the unique charm of their hometown culture. "Teacher, I'm a cow, can I cut a calf's Paper Cuttings?" Wei Zhenhua, a female soldier of Yantai warship, and Liang Qiaoyan, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, sat side by side, earnestly learning the teacher's Paper Cuttings technique, and soon a vivid calf's Paper Cuttings was in front of us. Last year, when the Yantai Ship returned to her hometown for the first time, Liang Qiaoyan created a two meter long Paper Cuttings of Yantai scenery and gave it to the Yantai Ship. This time, she boarded the warship to teach officers and soldiers Paper Cuttings skills, and introduced the traditional intangible cultural heritage of Yantai to officers and soldiers. Whether it's the "auspicious" characters made of wire enamel or the flowers made of Yantai dough sculpture, the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage use their skillful hands to convey their true feelings and send the best wishes to their loved ones on board
