This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary. Hungary is one of the earliest countries to recognize and establish diplomatic relations with New China, and the traditional friendship between the two countries has a long history. In recent years, China Hungary relations have maintained a high level of development, setting a model for building a new type of international relations. Under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, political mutual trust between China and Hungary continues to deepen, mutually beneficial cooperation has yielded fruitful results, cultural exchanges are rich and colorful, and cooperation in international and regional affairs is good. China has always viewed China Hungary relations from a strategic and long-term perspective, and supports Hungary in pursuing a development path that is in line with its own national conditions. The Hungarian side adheres to the One China principle and upholds a fair stance on issues related to China's core interests. Both sides firmly oppose Cold War mentality, group confrontation, and "decoupling and disconnection", and call for strengthening global connectivity and maintaining world peace and stability. Prime Minister Orban went to China for three consecutive times to attend the "the Belt and Road" International Cooperation Summit Forum. China Hungary has delivered excellent results in practical cooperation. The joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative is deeply linked with Hungary's "opening to the east" policy. In 2023, China's investment in Hungary reached a historic high, once again becoming the largest source of foreign investment in Hungary. Hungary has remained the largest investment destination for China in Central and Eastern Europe for several consecutive years. The cooperation between China and Hungary in the fields of new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and photovoltaics continues to deepen. Projects such as the Ningde Times Hungary factory, BYD Hungary's new energy vehicle production base, and the Kuaibu New Energy Koposhburg photovoltaic storage and charging intelligent power station are steadily advancing, providing momentum and empowerment for the high-quality development of practical cooperation between China and Hungary. High quality Hungarian products such as noble rot wine and large touch digital display screens that can interact with hundreds of people in real-time have entered the Chinese market. The continuous expansion and innovation of cooperation fields and models between China and Hungary have injected strong impetus into the development of bilateral relations. The level of connectivity between China and Hungary continues to improve. Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Ningbo, Guangzhou and other cities have opened 5 direct flight routes with Budapest, and multiple freight direct flights have been opened consecutively, providing convenience for personnel exchanges and cargo transportation between the two countries. The efficient operation of China Europe freight trains from cities such as Hefei, Shijiazhuang, and Ganzhou to Budapest has made Hungary one of the important distribution centers for China Europe freight trains. Recently, China has implemented a visa free policy for countries such as Hungary, and Hungary has launched a convenient arrangement to issue 5-year multiple visas to Chinese businesspeople, effectively promoting personnel exchanges between the two sides. The exchange and cooperation between China and Hungary are becoming increasingly close, and the links between them are becoming stronger. Continuing to write a beautiful story of friendship through cultural exchanges between China and Hungary. The cooperation in education, culture and other fields between the two countries is flourishing, and the mutual understanding between the people is constantly deepening. As the first public full-time school in Central and Eastern Europe to teach in both Chinese and the language of the host country, the Xiong Zhong Bilingual School cultivates a large number of students who are familiar with the languages and cultures of both countries.
