The Service Industry Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing recently released data showing that in April, the non manufacturing business activity index was 51.2%, a decrease of 1.8 percentage points from the previous month, still above the critical point, and the non manufacturing industry continues to expand. Statistical data shows that the prosperity level of the service industry has declined. In April, the business activity index of the service industry was 50.3%, a decrease of 2.1 percentage points from the previous month, indicating a slowdown in the expansion of the service industry. From an industry perspective, production and operation in most industries have continued to recover, with 15 out of the 21 surveyed industries having a business activity index above the critical point, an increase of 3 compared to the previous month, and an expansion in the prosperity of the service industry. From the perspective of market expectations, the expected index of business activities is 57.4%, which continues to maintain a relatively high economic range. Service industry enterprises continue to have a positive outlook on market development prospects. The expansion of the construction industry has slightly accelerated. In April, with the acceleration of infrastructure construction, the business activity index of the construction industry increased by 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, reaching 56.3%, continuing to be in a relatively prosperous range. Among them, the business activity index of the civil engineering and construction industry was 63.7%, an increase of 3.9 percentage points from the previous month, reaching a high level of prosperity, and the construction progress of enterprises has accelerated. From the perspective of market expectations, the business activity expectation index is 56.1%, which continues to be in a relatively high economic range, indicating that construction industry enterprises generally maintain optimistic expectations for industry development.
