During my studies at the Army Chemical Defense Institute of the People's Liberation Army of China, I was often amazed by China's achievements in modernization, including the relentless high-speed rail, advanced intelligent equipment, and steadily advancing lunar exploration projects. The Chinese people are diligent and creative, love their country, and have a positive and upward force. What impressed me deeply is their actions in defending peace and justice. This action not only provides a favorable external environment for China's modernization construction, but also greatly benefits developing countries including Kazakhstan. Development and peace are inseparable. Chinese path to modernization is a modernization that follows the path of peaceful development. At present, from the Russia-Ukraine conflict to the Palestinian Israeli conflict, the global situation is not stable. The global security initiative proposed by China reflects the common voice of the international community and injects what the Chinese often call "positive energy" into a turbulent world. At the same time, the modernization path explored by China provides useful reference for developing countries. Having "good neighbors" and "good friends" like China is undoubtedly fortunate for Kazakhstan. With the opportunity of jointly building the "the Belt and Road", Kazakhstan and China have carried out close cooperation in education, science and technology, agriculture and other fields. Every year, many young people from Kazakhstan study in China. I am also a beneficiary of Kazakhstan China education cooperation. Even before coming to China, I had been paying attention to China's contributions in helping Africa. For many years, China has actively participated in United Nations peacekeeping operations, sending peacekeeping forces to multiple regions in Africa to safeguard peace and defend lives through practical actions, and has become a key force in maintaining local peace. China is also sharing its experience with Africa in infrastructure construction, agricultural development, and other areas, providing them with crucial support and assistance, which can help reduce conflicts and bring hope for development to local people. After coming to China, every day of learning and visiting every place has deepened my understanding of China. I realize that there are some differences between China and the West in their ways of external communication. Some Western countries are always unable to avoid provoking conflicts and launching wars in their development process, while China insists on peace, friendship, and mutual benefit. Chinese traditional culture emphasizes "harmony and symbiosis", and my understanding of this term is that developing cooperation in a peaceful environment and achieving common prosperity is the correct path for the development of human civilization. This year, Kazakhstan serves as the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and will host the Astana Summit. Since its establishment, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has played a constructive role in international and regional affairs, contributing to world peace and development. We look forward to this year's Astana Summit launching more agendas on peaceful development. I hope that Kazakhstan and China can continue to maintain good neighborly friendship, strengthen cooperation, and jointly maintain regional peace and stability in the future. I will also share the story of Chinese people's love for peace with more Kazakhstanis, adding fuel to the friendship between the two countries. (Lai Xin She)
