The 2024 Beijing International Automobile Exhibition with the theme of "New Era and New Cars" was held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Li Qiang visited the exhibition hall and visited several automotive brand exhibition areas, including Dongfeng, BYD, Zhiji, Jiyue, BMW, Geely, Xiaomi, Celes, and Xiaopeng. He inspected the exhibition models and technology displays, communicated with relevant enterprise leaders, and inquired in detail about research and development, production, and sales. Li Qiang expressed that he was very encouraged by the auto show. China's intelligent connected new energy vehicles have a strong development momentum, especially relying on a complete industrial system and continuous innovation investment, which has formed a leading advantage in market competition and open cooperation. We need to continue to work hard to maintain and develop this advantage. He pointed out that today's automotive products are very different from the past. They are no longer just a simple means of transportation, but a composite system that integrates various technologies. Intelligent connected new energy vehicles can be regarded as a "big terminal" that integrates multiple technologies such as mechanical, electronic, computing, perception, audio-visual, energy storage, etc. It has become the main direction for the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry and has a very broad development prospect. We hope that the majority of automotive companies will use innovation as the driving force, demand as the guide, and quality as the foundation to accelerate the research and development of key core technologies, strengthen industry chain collaboration, improve the level of intelligent manufacturing, and strengthen forward-looking technology research and development layout, promote the continuous improvement and upgrading of the automotive industry, and make positive contributions to the global green and low-carbon transformation. Li Qiang emphasized that both China and the global new energy vehicle market are continuously growing, with huge demand space. Intelligent connected new energy vehicles are also a product of global industrial cooperation to a certain extent, and future development requires all parties to leverage their advantages and deepen division of labor and cooperation. China will further promote the construction of a unified national market, expand high-level opening up to the outside world, continue to relax market access, promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation, treat domestic and foreign enterprises equally, promote wider exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and foreign automobile enterprises in capital, technology, management, talent, and other aspects, share opportunities in the Chinese market, and achieve common development and mutual benefit in the technological revolution and industrial transformation. Li Qiang pointed out that China is currently carrying out a new round of large-scale equipment updates and exchanging old for new consumer goods. To better leverage the driving role of the automotive industry in expanding investment and promoting consumption, and to allow more high-quality automotive products to enter the lives of residents.
