The 19th China Young Female Scientist Award ceremony was held in Beijing on the 28th. Five teams including 20 young female scientists, Wang Hongxia, and the overall design and verification team of the Dahandaobi turbofan engine have won awards. Chen Yiqin, the State Councilor and the President of the All China Women's Federation, attended the event and presented the awards. She hoped that women scientists would keep in mind the instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, carry forward the spirit of scientists, use the heroism and efforts of women not to be inferior to men, climb the peak of science and technology, devote themselves to serving the country through science and technology, play their own advantages and positive role in achieving self-reliance in high level science and technology, developing new quality productivity, and promoting high-quality development, and contribute to the great cause of Chinese path to modernization to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and national rejuvenation. The China Young Female Scientist Award was established in 2004, and to date, a total of 204 outstanding female scientific and technological workers have been awarded this honor. (Lai Xin She)
