Recently, the High People's Court of Guangdong Province released ten typical cases of courts in the province in 2023, involving many categories such as maintaining national financial security, escorting Guangdong's scientific and technological self-reliance, green and beautiful Guangdong's ecological construction, optimizing the legal business environment, and focusing on the theme of "justice and efficiency", which intensively reflects the new judicial action of Guangdong courts to deeply implement Xi Jinping's rule of law thought, and serve the high-quality development of Guangdong's economy and society with high-quality justice. 10 cases cover criminal, civil, administrative, and enforcement fields. Among them, in the illegal fundraising case of "Little Cow Capital", the people's court played a criminal trial role in accordance with the law, maximally recovered the economic losses of investors, cracked down on financial crimes in accordance with the law, and protected the safety of the people's "money bags" and social stability; In the cases involving the capture and transaction of data through iDataAPI and the bill dispute of a certain trust company, the people's court has lawfully increased the standardization of data element circulation and the protection of new supply chain financial transaction procedures, fully guiding the standardized operation of social financing behavior, fully reflecting the responsibility of judicial trial to serve the healthy development of Guangdong's new economy and new business models; In the defamation case of Wu and the contract dispute execution case of a certain media company, the people's court fully demonstrated its strong determination to promote cyberspace governance through legal means, such as safeguarding personal rights and interests in accordance with the law, cracking down on online violence, and reverse live streaming detention. In addition, in the ecological environment damage compensation case of a certain hardware factory, the people's court pioneered the supervision and execution rules for labor compensation, providing a reference model for similar cases. It is understood that in recent years, Guangdong High School has fully played the role of case guidance and warning by constructing a full chain cultivation mechanism for case exploration, identification, reporting, and application. In 2023, a total of 5 cases were selected as guiding cases by the Supreme People's Court, 236 cases were selected as various typical cases by the Supreme People's Court, a year-on-year increase of 55.3%. 85 cases won awards in the National Excellent Case Analysis and Selection of Courts, a year-on-year increase of 183%, setting a new record for the number of awards in history.
