On April 23rd, the 2024 "Hand drawn South China" offline travel experience event hosted by the South China Library Alliance was officially launched. This activity links three provincial-level public libraries in South China, showcasing the main urban images of Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan (jokingly referred to as "South China F3" by netizens) through hand drawn seals, allowing readers to connect with various cities through the collection of seals, and synchronously promoting excellent reading resources in various regions. From April 23rd to July 31st, citizens and readers only need to visit any of the Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Library, or Hainan Provincial Library to collect 39 hand-painted city stamps and 1 hidden color stamp for free. They can experience the beauty of the city and the fun of collecting stamps, and experience a different "South China F3" Citywalk (City Walk). In the past two years, Citywalk and check-in have become a new cultural and tourism experience. As an emerging form of tourism, Citywalk has become increasingly popular, and people are no longer satisfied with visiting a certain scenic spot in a casual way. They are more willing to use their footsteps to measure the city, deeply explore and experience the city's cultural geography, customs and traditions. This trend injects urban cultural observation into tourism, gradually bringing "urban aesthetics" into the public eye, and is one of the effective forms of deep integration of culture and tourism. At the same time, hand drawn photos of the Guangdong station in South China have also become a new trend in cultural and tourism experiences, with stamp collection and check-in. Seals with exquisite designs, bright colors, and a fusion of cultural elements and modern creativity are becoming important carriers for promoting urban history and culture, providing people with both visual and cultural enjoyment, and also driving cultural and tourism consumption. During the period from December 2023 to January 2024, Guangdong Provincial Sun Yat sen Library, together with Alipay, Shenzhen Museum and other institutions, jointly carried out the "hand-painted China" offline linkage stamp collection activity, and launched 34 provincial capital city seals and one colored hidden seal, which stimulated people's interest in and recognition of urban culture and led a new trend of cultural tourism. The hand-painted seal includes the introduction of relevant officials from 39 prefecture level cities in the three provinces of South China. This "hand-painted South China" offline travel experience activity is another attempt by the public library community to practice the function of preserving and disseminating urban culture, and promote the integration of culture and tourism. It is also the first "big move" released by the South China Library Alliance since its official establishment on November 30, 2023. The hand-painted seals launched during the on-site photo activity of the "Hand-painted South China" Guangxi Station cover 39 prefecture level cities in the three provinces of South China. Each seal image integrates the landmark architecture and cultural and historical elements of the city, with exquisite design and unique interests, allowing readers to feel the cultural characteristics of each South China city without the need to personally participate in Citywalk.
