The National Theatre's musical play "Summoned Dunhuang" was established in Beijing on April 23rd. The drama is directed by the President of the National Theatre, Tian Qinxin, composed by Hong Kong composer Jin Peida, and starring young actor Zhang Yixing. It will premiere at the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) on November 21. According to Tian Qinxin, "Summoned Dunhuang" showcases a spiritual journey towards Dunhuang through the life experiences and spiritual resonance of two generations of young people crossing time and space. "The book 'Summoned Dunhuang' tells the world of Dunhuang from a Chinese perspective, and reinterprets Dunhuang civilization through contemporary stories. The aim is to enhance the recognition and love of young audiences for the excellent traditional Chinese culture, showcase the profound impact of the Silk Road on the modern civilization of the Chinese nation, and spread the voice of Chinese civilization," said Tian Qinxin.
