Xie Zhangshu pointed out that focusing on the needs of the public for medical treatment and medical insurance, the National Medical Insurance Service Platform (including online departments and apps) has opened service modules such as medical insurance codes, cross provincial and cross regional medical registration, medical insurance information inquiry, medical insurance mobile payment, and local characteristic service zones, which can provide comprehensive online services such as information inquiry, business processing, and benefit application for insured individuals. The platform has 450 million real name users and has launched 32 local zones, covering more than 100 service functions. "Since last year, we have been continuously carrying out the 'go through the process and find bottlenecks' campaign nationwide to address the issue of using medical insurance codes. We have mobilized medical insurance departments at all levels and designated medical institutions to accelerate the use of medical insurance codes from being only available in the settlement stage to being able to be used throughout the entire process of appointment registration, check-in and diagnosis, diagnosis and treatment examination, report inquiry, pharmacy medication retrieval, etc., reducing waiting time in queues and improving the experience of medical treatment and medication. Currently, the number of medical insurance code users nationwide has exceeded 1.12 billion, and 31 provinces (regions, cities) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have supported the use of medical insurance codes, connecting more than 800000 designated medical institutions and settling more than 6 billion transactions." Xie Zhangshu also stated that the National Medical Insurance Administration is building a convenient "three electronic and two payment" service system for medical insurance, including medical insurance codes (medical insurance electronic vouchers), medical insurance electronic bills, medical insurance electronic prescriptions, medical insurance mobile payments, medical insurance trusted payments, etc., connecting the entire process of medical treatment and drug purchase, forming a fully optimized service loop, and promoting a new upgrade of the service experience. In addition, the National Medical Insurance Administration will explore the integration of offline settlement, digital RMB, and medical insurance services to promote effective connection between medical and medical insurance services.
