From April 21st to 24th, the Chinese Navy will host the 19th Annual Meeting of the Western Pacific Naval Forum in Qingdao, Shandong. Representatives from 29 countries, including Australia, Cambodia, Chile, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Russia, the United States, Pakistan, and the United Kingdom, will be sent to attend the meeting. During this period, the Navy will hold a high-level seminar on "Destiny and Shared Oceans", with three sub topics set up: "Global Security Initiative and Ocean Peace and Tranquility", "Maritime Security Cooperation and the Ocean Order Based on International Law", and "Co construction, Sharing and Global Ocean Governance". Some foreign naval leaders will be invited to discuss and speak on these topics; The naval leadership will also hold bilateral meetings with delegations from relevant countries. Holding this forum annual meeting is a practical action of the Chinese Navy to practice the concept of building a community with a shared future for the ocean. The aim is to strengthen exchanges, enhance mutual trust, and deepen cooperation with forum countries, making new and greater contributions to jointly addressing maritime security threats and challenges, and jointly safeguarding regional peace and stability. At the same time, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army Navy of China. Around April 23rd, the Navy will organize a series of activities such as a grand flag raising ceremony, a tribute ceremony to the heroes of the People's Navy, the opening of military camps and ships, and outdoor themed lighting displays in cities and military camps such as Beijing, Qingdao, Ningbo, and Zhanjiang.
