On the 17th, Vice President Han Zheng met with Slovenian Vice Premier and Foreign Minister Fayong at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Han Zheng stated that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sri Lanka, the bilateral relations have developed in a healthy and stable manner. China attaches great importance to the development of friendly and cooperative relations between China and Sri Lanka, and is willing to work together with Sri Lanka to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen bilateral exchanges, consolidate political mutual trust, continuously expand the depth and breadth of bilateral practical cooperation, strengthen international cooperation, and achieve common development. Sri Lanka is a good friend and partner of China within the European Union, and we believe that Sri Lanka will play a positive and constructive role in promoting China Europe relations and cooperation. Fa Yong stated that Sri Lanka attaches great importance to developing relations with China and has always regarded the One China policy as the cornerstone of bilateral relations.
