2024-04-12
On April 11th, the Xiaoshan Cultural Tourism Route Experience and the opening ceremony of the 10th Asian Humanities and Arts Exhibition were held in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City. At the event, more than 30 artists from China, France, Thailand, Austria and other countries showcased their oil paintings, printmaking, photography and other works. French artist Lan Junlong has been living in China for 13 years. Among his three works on display that day, there is a unique Chinese Loong painting. He introduced that this is a painting he specially made for the Chinese New Year. Every year, he would make a piece of art for the Chinese New Year and give it to his family and friends as a gesture of blessings. In the view of Luo Qi, a professor at the China Academy of Fine Arts and founder of the Asian Humanities and Arts Exhibition, the high development of culture and art is another symbol of social civilization. Therefore, people should not only pay attention to the development of economy and technology, but also to the balance of cultural and artistic ecology, as well as the diversification of traditional culture and modern civilization. "Nowadays, with the rapid development of society and the emergence of new changes in cultural information, we have organized Asian cultural and artistic activities to promote in-depth interaction among countries. Through cultural and artistic exchanges, we enrich our spiritual life and understand cultural migration between Asia," said Lozi. At the event, the Consulate General of Uruguay in Shanghai and Xiaoshan District respectively conducted cultural and tourism promotion. Uruguayan Consul General in Shanghai, Marcelo Malone, stated that in September 2021, Hangzhou signed a memorandum of friendship and cooperation with the Uruguayan capital Montevideo, which has deepened the friendship. And he himself has also witnessed the development of the city of Hangzhou. "The Hangzhou Intercontinental Hotel and Hangzhou Grand Theatre, which serve as conference centers, were both designed by Uruguayan architect Carlos Ott. We are very proud that these buildings can become new landmarks of Hangzhou." Malone said, looking forward to more cultural activities in the future to promote exchanges between the two countries. It is reported that a Sino foreign friendship concert was also held at the opening ceremony. The next day, more than ten international artists will experience the spring tourism route of Xiaoshan and experience the local beautiful scenery and cultural characteristics. (Lai Xin She)
