The annual report on the construction of a rule of law government released by the Ministry of Justice recently shows that in 2023, administrative reconsideration institutions at all levels have always taken safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the people as their foothold, with 315000 new administrative reconsideration cases received nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%; 293000 administrative reconsideration cases were handled in accordance with the law, a year-on-year increase of 14.45%, of which the Ministry of Justice handled 4644 administrative reconsideration cases under the State Council. The report shows that the Ministry of Justice continues to improve the quality and efficiency of administrative reconsideration, guiding administrative reconsideration institutions at all levels to handle 63800 administrative reconsideration cases related to people's livelihood in accordance with the law, and more than 30000 administrative reconsideration cases related to enterprises. In 2023, administrative reconsideration institutions at all levels nationwide closed 37000 cases through mediation and reconciliation, and a large number of administrative disputes were substantially resolved. Strengthen the coordination between administrative reconsideration and administrative litigation, and form a joint force to deepen the governance of litigation sources. Accelerate the informatization construction of administrative reconsideration, and the basic formation of a nationwide administrative reconsideration network. In terms of increasing administrative supervision in accordance with the law, administrative review agencies at all levels made 27300 error correction decisions throughout the year, including revoking, changing, confirming illegal activities, and ordering performance, with an error correction rate of 12.83%. More than 3800 political reconsideration opinions and proposals have been issued nationwide, achieving the goal of "handling one case and standardizing one area" and effectively promoting lawful administration from the source.
