Recently, not far from the statue of Xian Xinghai in Xinghai Cultural Square, Lanhe Town, Nansha District, Guangzhou, the sound of a thousand people singing together is as majestic as "the water of the Yellow River comes from the sky", and the singing is loud and clear. It is reported that this event is a thousand person choir tour "Singing the Happiness of the Greater Bay Area Ode to the Starry Sea" jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Nansha District Committee of the Communist Party of China in Guangzhou, the Nansha District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and other units. It gathers 19 choirs from the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, and uses their singing to interpret the soul of the Starry Sea, the Yellow River, and the national spirit in the hometown of the people's musician Xian Xinghai. At the beginning of the event, with the red inspirational play "Fearless of the Wind and Waves" as the opening program, five young people from Lanhe Town, the hometown of Xinghai, passionately performed the touching story of Xian Xinghai, who was inspired by the roaring Yellow River and spent only six days and six nights painstakingly creating the "Yellow River Cantata" in a state of illness. The Yellow River Cantata was created in early 1939, with lyrics written by Guang Weiran and music composed by Xian Xinghai. It is Xian Xinghai's most important and influential work, known as the "epic of national liberation". It is divided into eight movements, each of which reflects unique visual characteristics and has become a great hymn to the spirit of the Chinese nation. The atmosphere at the event was extremely intense, and the scene was particularly spectacular. In addition to the movements of "Yellow River Cantata", the scene also performed famous composers Guo Xiaohu's new era works "Today", "Magnificent Yan'an", and "My Account to You". The song and dance "The Sound of the Starry Sea" came to a successful conclusion for this chorus. A person from the Guangzhou Nansha Guangdong Macao Development Promotion Association stated that Macau is the birthplace of Xian Xinghai, and Nansha Lanhe is Xian Xinghai's hometown.
