The relevant person in charge of the Central Cyberspace Administration stated that this special action focuses on the disorderly content of online information that infringes on the legitimate rights and interests of enterprises and entrepreneurs. By consolidating the main responsibility of website platforms, regulating the acceptance and disposal of enterprise related information reports on website platforms, the focus is on rectifying problems such as smearing and defaming the image and reputation of enterprises and entrepreneurs without factual basis, fabricating and disseminating false and untrue information, extorting and seeking illegal benefits, disrupting the normal production and operation order of enterprises, and maliciously hyping up public information related to enterprises. The relevant person in charge of the Central Cyberspace Administration emphasized that local Cyberspace Administration should guide and supervise local website platforms to compare with the target tasks of the special action, strengthen information management, thoroughly clean up existing infringing information related to enterprises, strengthen the management of key links such as hot search lists, and strictly require relevant accounts and institutions not to hype up marketing infringing information related to enterprises.
